Olokun spoke in tongues poem by Simpa Omoluabi

Olokun spoke in tongues (for Radio Biafra, damn the security agency)

Out of the ocean sea-horsemen arise
Satyrsgoatmen tell the tale of bonfires;
Olokun riding a chariot of fires
Fiery chariot of centaurs for sunrise,
Lucifer burning ‘gainst the barrenness
Lucifer principal in the darkness.
Sexless Olokun had eight ghost daughters
Sorority of eight from deep waters
In freedom of expression speak in tongues odd
The freedom of speech the speech of God
Speaking for you Biafra thence and hence.
Olokun mother of independence
Came before the Lord Satan at night
Olokun spoke in tongues ‘let there be light…’
