THE WOMAN DIED (2) by Simpa Omoluabi

Soyinka how much did you play killer
In a death, at Ibadan, of a dame,
Murder done with one with Ige for name;
Prof. Wole Soyinka in which river
After the murder did you wash those hands
Of murder hoping time misunderstands?
Maybe for that you were just the driver
Owning to that you pulled not the trigger.
Liar! Soyinka that hates lies more than flies
Under oath how you showed you do hate lies:
A toy gun indeed was the weapon you
Brought to see your radio house hold-up through.
If not Soyinka who's knight of the weak,
Voiceless, e'en his prey he's made not to speak.
