THE WOMAN DIED (5) by Simpa Omoluabi

Soyinka on her whose life's flame you and
Ige quenched, I, a God, bestow sainthood.
Morningstarwitess I've found in Godhood
Pyrate you the captain Blood and your band
Actualised to the proliferation
Of robbers and death squads in the nation,
Murderers-cum-cultists in the places
Of higher learning making for cases
Leaving us to wonder how we got where
Undergraduates maim and kill without fear
Any time such they chose to perpetrate
But why wonder when the Nobel laureate
In time past has been involved in murder,
I mean captain Blood, Pyrate's chief founder.
