THE WOMAN DIED (7) by Simpa Omoluabi

Soyinka a murder is a murder
Is a murder; why did you two do it?
Murdering a saint, she who did not admit
Point blank before a gun and its thunder
Assuring her her death was imminent
On a day Ige and Soyinka vent
Murderously against unfathomable
opposition of courage most noble
Laudably worthy than any prize.
Understand this Soyinka, that, your lies
Against a murder you partook in cold-
Blood, would just be emphasizing how bold
In being captain Blood you forever are
The first campus capo in Nigeria.
