THE WOMAN DIED (4) by Simpa Omoluabi

Soyinka it must have been courageous
In putting that bullet in that woman
Making sure she knows it you are the man.
Pistol-shot she suffered was dangerous;
And Soyinka, pray tell, was it Ige
Or you who pulled the trigger on that day
Murder came by your hands upon a dame?
Of course you stilled her lest she soils your fame;
Look back on it, do you recall her face
Under pain of death which she bore in grace
Against her murderers known as great men
Burying her as unknown of women.
I the Incarnate God and the founder
Of Morningstarwitness saint calls her.
